Problem
UPSCO came to Mallard at a pivotal moment. Newly backed by Core & Main, the natural gas meter set manufacturer was entering an exciting new chapter, but the market had not quite caught up to the story. Some saw the change and wondered what it meant for the company they had trusted for decades. Meanwhile, UPSCO's real strength, an engineering discipline and precision that runs through every stage of their custom fabrication, was getting lost in the noise. They needed to remind the market who they were and show that the best was still ahead.
Solution
Mallard Agency, a Dallas video production company, produced a cinematic brand film for UPSCO, along with two social cutdowns, shot on location at their New York facilities. We started with a discovery session to understand the business down to the fabrication floor, then built a scripted concept around the idea of being "Beyond All Measure" while carrying forward their longstanding "Connections for Life" promise so the story felt like an evolution rather than a reinvention. Rather than talking heads, we cast talent to portray a real utility customer moving through consultation, engineering, and manufacturing, letting the precision of the work speak for itself and honoring the trade sensitivities of the space.
Result
UPSCO walked away with a film built to reinforce trust and position the company as a partner backed by new strength and the same principles that built it. The messaging was clear enough to carry across their website, LinkedIn, trade shows, and email outreach, giving the team one confident story that matched the caliber of their engineering. For a company ready to show the market what its next chapter looks like, the brand film gave them a way to show it rather than say it.
